Money does not come with an instruction manual, but maybe it should! Managing your money is important and now is the time to get smart with it and make it work harder for you.
Money Smart Week® is a public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. This collaboration and coordinated effort of hundreds of organizations across the country come together once a year to stress the importance of financial literacy, inform consumers about where they can get help and provide free educational seminars throughout the week.
Chicago Money Smart Week will run April 5 – 12, 2014 with over 500 free educational events in Chicago and over 1,000 throughout the state of Illinois. This week of financial education is a collaboration between The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and a long list of participants including Standard Bank.
The participants offer a large variety of topics so you should find something that will help you make the most of your money. The list includes topics such as investing, personal finance, teens and money, estate planning and more. You are bound to find enough classes to fill your whole week.
