Tips for safe online shopping this holiday season! Always keep your anti virus and spy-ware protection up to date.
Tip 1: You should ensure that the website is secure. Check for https instead of http or a “lock” icon at the bottom of the screen.
Tip 2: Scammers know that cash strapped consumers will be looking for low prices. If it is too good to be true, it probably is.
Tip 3: Avoid divulging too much personal information when making online purchases. Move on if the site starts asking about SSN, DL#, or etc.

Tip 4: You should keep your records of all your purchases in case there are any issues with your orders and can help reduce the hassle.
Tip 5: Be familiar with the terms of the purchase. Warranty? Returnable? Refund? Exchange? What about damage? Return shipping fees?
Tip 6: Be careful when accessing the internet over public WI-FI. Fraudsters will be looking to find information. Protect your bank/CC info.
