Holiday Hope for Park Lawn
Any Christmas tree, even one like Charlie Brown’s, comes to life when it’s dressed up with ornaments by caring friends. This holiday season through December 23, ten Standard Bank branch offices have Christmas trees waiting to be decorated with special ornaments.
As in years past, Standard Bank is again supporting the Park Lawn Angel Fund this holiday season. Customers can make donations at participating branches. For every donation made to the fund, an ornament will be displayed on a Christmas tree. Donations help Park Lawn purchase beds, rocking chairs, medical supplies and other much needed items for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities and little or no family support.
Park Lawn’s Angel Fund helps bridge the gap between what some of its residents receive from federal funding and what they need. Many residents without family support don’t have the funds they need to purchase new winter coats, for example, or a pair of shoes.
Making a donation to the Park Lawn Angel Fund is easy with Standard Bank. The next time you stop in to make a deposit or withdrawal, buy an ornament for the tree at one of ten participating branches in the Chicagoland area.
Our History with Park Lawn
Standard Bank has been supporting Park Lawn since 2007 when bank employees working at an Oak Lawn Village community event raised $2,000 in proceeds and donated them directly to Park Lawn. Some branch managers continue to assist Park Lawn by serving on the organization’s auction committee board throughout the year. Employees of the Oak Lawn branch also volunteer at Park Lawn’s bingo events held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Park Lawn Angel Fund is just one of the organizations that we support in the communities where we do business. Standard Bank is not only happy to help you with financial products and services – we are happy to help others by making our communities better places to live.
