Honoring our Service Members

To many of us, Memorial Day signifies the beginning of summer.  Officially, it is a day designated to honor all American service members who sacrificed their life so that we could have the freedom that we know today.military

Standard Bank is genuinely committed to the financial well-being of our Service Members and Veterans.  We honor these great men and women in two ways this month.

Last week we kicked off a fundraising campaign for the Disabled Patriot Fund where all funds raised through this event will assist local disabled veterans.  The Disabled Patriot Fund was formed in 2004 to provide financial relief for local U.S. Military Families who have been adversely affected by the “War on Terror.”

The men and women who protect our freedom are coming home with varying levels of disabilities and many receive minimal financial assistance from existing governmental agencies.  The claim processing time averages 12 to 18 months, while appeals may take several years.

Visit any of our branches and show your support by purchasing a $1 or $5 ‘pin-up’ and help us improve the lives of our wounded veterans and their families now.  The campaign runs May 15th – July 15th.

We’ve developed Military Banking, a comprehensive financial program designed especially for service members and veterans.

Features include:
*      Tailored Checking Accounts
*      Convenient Services
*      Mortgage Programs
*      Professional Financial Guidance
*      Insurance Options

As you get together with friends and family this Memorial Day weekend, keep in mind the sacrifices that have been made by so many service members and their families.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend.  And enjoy your freedom.
