If “Old Faithful” makes you think of your comfortable old recliner, maybe you should get out more. And a trip to Yellowstone National Park, complete with a float trip on the Snake River and a journey down the Oregon Trail could be just what you need to shake things up.
This eleven-day motor coach tour in July of 2012 is exclusively for Standard Bank customers—just one of our Traveler’s Club adventures for the year. It offers an opportunity to see some of America’s most fascinating sights with every detail taken care of by the travel professionals at Mayflower Tours. They’ll even pick you up at your home, getting the tour off to a relaxing start.
After spending the night in Minnesota, you’ll arrive in the Badlands of North Dakota, where you’ll enjoy “The Greatest Show in the West,” The Medora Musical. Then it’s on to the real American West, starting with Little Big Horn National Monument, the Buffalo Bill Historic Center, and Cody, Wyoming, where you’ll attend a real rodeo, complete with bull riding, barrel racing, and bronco bucking.
A knowledgeable guide will show you Yellowstone in all its glory, including the upper and lower falls of Yellowstone’s Grand Canyon, and, of course, Old Faithful and other geysers as they blow off steam. A rafting trip on the scenic Snake River will take you through Grand Teton National Park and the National Elk Refuge.
Your western adventure continues with the ghost towns along the Oregon Trail, Crazy Horse National Monument and a train ride through the Black Hills, ending with a stop at the magnificent Mount Rushmore before the drive home.
